Music Theory Challenge
Congratulations! If you are reading this, that means you are willing to test pilot our first year of the Music Theory Challenge Program.
The first seven challenges of this program focus on the website www.musictheory.net You will be asked to go to the “Lessons” tab to study the skills that you will be tested on.
In order to pass a challenge, you must click on the link in the challenge and take the test. The test contains 50 questions and you need to earn a 90% or above to pass. Below are the directions for how to submit once you have passed the test.
The final two challenges will be using Noteflight.
HOW TO SUBMIT A CHALLENGE:
At the end of a challenge, there will be a button that says “View Report.” Click on it.
You then need to sign the report with your name on it and click “sign report”
Lastly, you need to copy the link and email to sgavarny@hobokencs.org
In the subject it should say – Music Theory Challenge and then tell me which one you did.
It sounds complicated, but once you get the hang of it you’ll be fine.
HOW TO SUBMIT A NOTEFLIGHT CHALLENGE:
Click on Score Details in the upper right corner, right by your user icon.
Scroll down to Share and click individual and share with “Gmusicman” and click save.
Make sure you title your compositions properly.
If you don’t pass, don’t fret! Keep practicing and try again!
