Discipline Policy

In order to maintain an orderly educational environment, the following discipline policy will be implemented.

Rules:

1. No talking while rehearsal is in progress.

2. Raise your hand and be recognized by the teacher before speaking.

3. Have appropriate materials for class.

4. No food or drink (except water) in the music room.

5. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.

6. Absolutely no gum chewing!!!

Consequences:

1^st Offense Verbal warning

2^nd Offense Call/email parent/guardian

3^rd Offense Conduct grade reduced to a 2.5 or lower (MS only)

4^th Offense Meeting with parent/guardian and/or principal

Positive consequences will vary each trimester.

Severe Discipline Clause

In the event a student blatantly and/or maliciously causes a serious classroom disruption, the severe disciplinary clause will take effect and the student will immediately be taken to the principal’s office and will serve the fourth offense consequence.
